99 years of Service and Sisterhood! #RoadTo100

Greetings and welcome! As President of the Phi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® I am so excited to serve as the leader for the next two years. It is such an esteemed honor to be elected to lead such a dynamic group of women in a chapter that has been serving our community for over 99 years! This year Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® celebrates 115 years of “Service to All Mankind” as the first and finest sorority created for African American educated women. Phi Omega chapter was the first graduate chapter chartered in North Carolina on February 14, 1924. We are located in the Northern Carolina Cluster of the Marvelous Mid-Atlantic Region.
Our chapter of over 250 professional women serves the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County community on the local level. We are sensitive to the needs of those less fortunate. We perform service projects that reach to other states and countries, as far as Africa.
We appreciate you taking the time to visit our website. We encourage you to navigate our site and explore our Upcoming Events, Scholarship opportunities, Programs of Service, Chapter History and Announcements as we continue to provide service, outreach and scholarships in our community.
On behalf of the Phi Omega Chapter, we invite the public to our fundraising and community events. Members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, we invite you to visit us when you are in the area.
In Service,
Evelyn Acree
President
